Self Improvement

Today, I am not going to go about defining and narrating what’s not missing.

Self improvement in layman’s definition is simply working on yourself to be a better version of yourself. It is with utmost important to know that there is no area or field of endeavor that does not require improvements.

Innovations, Creation and Adaptation has always availed itself opportunities for improvement.

Every area of endeavor cannot be limited nor strictly stereotyped into a particular style or range of living. One cannot truly measure it’s level of success without trying other ways to improve its level of productivity.

Variety, they say, is the spice of life

A computer software has various versions, you’d see types like: V1.01, Version 11.11002, V3.2 etc. These are items that make up for improvement of the old.

If a software which is man-made (that is meant to be stereotyped) can be improved, then human (who is versatile) do not have an excuse to keep doing things the same way in the name of religious faith.

It is paramount to know that the place of faith is also essential in whatever you find yourself doing. However, do not forget that you can’t keep doing things the same way and expect a different result.

You have to explore your world.

The greatest world inventions has tremendous versions of its creation. For example, Peugeot has various versions of their vehicles. What the company produced in the year, 2000 is different from the vehicle they have in the streets in the year, 2016. As of the year, 2000, Peugeot had 506 as its latest brand, sixteen years later, in the year 2016 made some improvements and birthed the model 206. They ensured that they meet up with market requirements, customers essential demands, locality and market needs was put into consideration.

The real question is,

Where were you sixteen years ago?

Where are you now?

What are you doing differently?

What have you done?

What have I achieved?

There is no limitation to self-improvement.

Whatever you do everyday counts. It amounts to what you eventually do in the years covered.

What you do today is a result of what you are tomorrow.

There are several things you can do for self-improvement, some of these are:

1. Academic Improvement.

You can go back to school, enrol for classes, online perhaps offline. There are several online academic sites ready to pour knowledge into you. For example, EDX, Academia, CYBRARY etc. Most of these sites offer course that cuts across Science, Social Science, Arts & Humanities.

2. Vocational Improvements

You can learn a skill. Add new knowledge that goes beyond the four walls of education. Start a baking, catering, decoration class.

… To be continued.
